Valley of the Moon

2013 "Blend '41" Red Wine

Sonoma County California

The name Valley of the Moon is a translation of the original native meaning of Sonoma, popularized by Jack London's novel, The Valley of the Moon  (1913).  A winery was first established on the property in 1863 that today comprises 60 acres.

This well-balanced blend of Zinfandel (56%), Syrah (19%), Petite Sirah (18%), Barbera (6%) and Sangiovese (1%) aims to emulate a Super Tuscan with its lush dark fruit character and rich aromas and flavors of berry and plum along with hints of leather and tobacco, finishing with soft tannins and a hint of oak.  14.68% ABV SWC
