2013 Estate-Groewn Pinot Noir

The Stemmler Carneros Estate-Grown Pinot Noir was sourced entirely from a 45-acre vineyard of 20 year-old vines planted in nine contiguous blocks to six different clones.  Each lot was fermented separately using native yeasts and spent 11 and 25 days on the skins.  Malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels (20% new oak).  The result is a layered and complex wine that delivers aromas of raspberry, blackberry, strawberry and black pepper that are followed by flavors of cherries, berries, rose petals and clove.  Plush tannins round out the finish with hints of rich berries. 14.1% ABV HWG
