2013 "Finder" White Blend

Paso Robles California

Adelaida's seven family-owned vineyards lie in the craggy hillside terrain of west Paso Robles, 14 miles from the Pacific coast. Ranging from 1500-1900 feet in elevation, these low-yielding vines seem to flourish in chalky limestone soils and afternoon blasts of cool marine air with a diurnal temperature swing of 40-45 degrees.  The Finder is a Rhone-style blend of estate-grown Grenache Blanc (40%), Viognier (28%), Picpoul Blanc (20%) & Roussanne (12%) grapes that were partially fermented and aged in stainless steel (63%) and partially fermented inn neutral oak (24%) and new French oak (13%).  The result is a wine with aromas of wild flower honey, granny smith apples and citrus blossoms followed by flavors of ripe peach, flinty minerality and citrus-nectarine compote.  This white blend pairs especially well with grilled shrimp remoulade, saffron crab cakes and salade nicoise. 14.1% ABV MON
