Chateau Pesquie

2013 "Le Paradou" Grenache

Rhone Valley France

Located in the Cotes de Ventoux region of the southern Rhone Valley, Chateau Pesquie is run by the talented brothers, Alexandre and Fredreic Chaudiere.  The grapes for Le Paradou Grenache were  sourced from two of the family's vineyards with an average vine age of 60 years and then aged for seven months in concrete tanks to preserve the "naked expression" of the grape.  The result is a very affordable 100% Grenache, inky red in color, that exudes aromas of grape jam and flinty minerals along with flavors of herbs with hints of green peppercorn and sour cherry and silky smooth tannins.  A refreshing balanced of vibrant fruit and spice, this is a fantastically versatile wine at a spectacular value  14% ABV TEG
