Valley of the Moon

2012 Pinot Noir

Sonoma County California

The name Valley of the Moon is a translation of the original native meaning of Sonoma, popularized by Jack London's novel, The Valley of the Moon  (1913).  A winery was first established on the property in 1863 that today comprises 60 acres.

This classic Pinot Noir, with a touch of Syrah (5%), offers enticing aromas of cherry, currant, sweet oak and honeysuckle along with flavors of Bing cherry and cranberry, with hints of vanilla, nutmeg and ginger, leading to a long finish with supple and well-balanced tannins.  Sonoma County 2015 Harvest Fair Best of Class, (wines under $30).  14.8% ABV SWC
