Dry Creek

2014 Sauvignon Blanc

Dry Creek Valley California

In 1972, David Stare was the first person to plant Sauvignon Blanc in the Dry Creek Valley appellation.  After more than 40 years, Dry Creek Vineyard continues to produce classically-styled versions of Sauvignon Blanc that closely follow the style of winemaking found in the Loire Valley.  The addition of 10% Sauvignon Musque gives this wine added depth and richness without the use of oak.  Full bodied and expressive, this delicious Sauvignon Blanc displays refreshing aromas of honeydew melon, cantaloupe and mango that are followed by vibrant flavors of fresh lemon-lime, kiwi and grapefruit.  Here's what Wine Enthusiast (90 points) had to say about this wine: "Dry Creek Vineyard hits another Sauvignon Blanc grand slam with the 2013, dripping in racy minerality, pretty floral aromatics and layers of fresh-squeezed lemon, melon and tropical mango.  The palate gives just enough weight to keep things complex and interesting without becoming overbearing.    A small percentage of Sauvignon Musque adds to the mix."  Sonoma County 2015 Harvest Fair  Gold (wines under $20). 14.1% ABV TEG
