2014 Dry MuscatJumilla Spain
This dry Muscat (Moscatel Seco) is produced from the vineyards of Moscatel de Grano Menudo (small-grain Muscat) located on gently-sloping hillsides at an elevation of some 2,000 feet in the Valley of La Aragona, north of Jumilla. The chalky soils and dry climate with many hours of sunlight form a micro-climate perfect for growing this varietal.
Light, green-tinged gold in color, this lovely wine shows aromas of fresh melon, peach and kiwi that are complemented by flavors of jasmine, white pepper, pit fruit and honeydew, coming off almost weightless on a long and intensely spicy finish. This wine pairs well with chicken, fish and shellfish, antipasto, quiche, pasta salad and Thai cuisine as well as cow and sheep cheeses. 13.5% ABV RWC
