Cantina Terlano

2013 Pinot Bianco

Trentino - Alto Adige

The fruit for this wine is grown on a hillside in the town of Terlano in the Alto-Adige region of northeast Italy where the soil is sandy, gravely and calcareous which lends powerful expression to the terroir where the grapes mature.  As a varietal, the delicate and minerally Pinot Biancio, is a hallmark of the winery.  The grapes are manually harvested, gently whole-cluster pressed, slowly fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless-steel tanks, and then aged on the lees in steel tanks for 5-7 months.  The result is a full-bodied, delicately fragrant and mildly floral wine with aromas and flavors of ripe honeydew melon, Bartlett pear and lots of minerality.  13.5% ABV HWG
