2013 Red Blend

Rioja Spain

Navardia is a family-owned winery located on the left of the Ebro Valley, by the banks of the Ega river, within the locality of Andosilla, part of the region of Navarra.  Geographically, Navardia wines qualify for approval as forming part of the Rioja wine region.  Navardia wines are produced using only grapes from the winery's own vines, and all have been cultivated in accordance with the European Union's standard governing organic agriculture.  This rich blend of Tempranillo (65%), Graciano (25% and Garnacha (10%), intense red-purple in color, delivers abundantly perfumed aromas of red forest fruits, raspberries, red currants, spices (black pepper and licorice), gentle hints of flowers and milk caramel and slight mineral undertones provided by the Graciano element.  On the palate, it combines intensity with smoothness, well-rounded tannins and abundant fruit, black licorice, leading to a lengthy and pleasant finish.  13.5% ABV HWG
