2014 Rojo Garnacha

La Tierra de Castilla Spain

This Mediterranean red varietal, the most cultivated grape in the world, produces excellent wines which benefit from its oily and sensual tannins, achieving an impressive power and expression.  The grapes for this Garnacha (aka Grenache) come from 40-year-old vines grown in lime-based soil, then harvested at the peak of maturity, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.  The result is a full-bodied and well-rounded dark red wine with intense yet pleasant aromas and flavors of licorice and wild red and black berries that lead to a well-balanced, elegant and fresh finish.  Serve this incredibly-priced wine at room temperature with red meats and all types of cheeses.13% ABV QUI
