Nicolas Poptel founded his negociant Maison Roche de Bellene in 2009 where the emphasis in on individual terroirs from vielles vignes (old vines -- 40 years or older) that are farmed responsibly.  All of his growers are either biodynamically certified or are farming according to the principles of lutte raisonee (sustainable viticulture, which enables Nicolas to consistently produce the expressive, terroir-driven style that is his vision. 

Intensely flavored with aromas of macerated cherry and raspberry with spice notes, this 100% Pinot Noir is taut and fused to a steely steely structure with flavors of berry and mineral that linger on the finish.  Good through 2028.  91 points Wine Spectator.  13.5% ABV C&C
