2013 Chardonnay

Sonoma Coast California

Light in color, this medium-bodied fresh, fragrant, silky and mouth-watering wine exudes aromas of white flowers, tangerine and coconut before opening up to green apples and crisp Anjou pear, followed by flavors of citrus and stone fruit, crisp and bright acidity and finishing with a distinctive minerality. Here is what Wine & Spirits (93 points) said about this vintage: "A captivating balancing act, this blend of fruit from the Camp Meeting Ridge estate and other coastal sites feels at once concentrated and weightless.  The first impression is one of healthy, plump fruit -- ripe apricot, perhaps a hint of caramelized sugar -- but it hews to a clean line, the flavors growing more earthy as taut acidity pulls toward crisp, green-tinged suggestions of seashells and borage flowers.  More than the flavors themselves, it's the overall impression of satiny grace that gives this coastal white its beauty."   92 points Antonio Galloni Vinous. 13% ABV SWC
